Day 1: Arrival in Negombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to your accommodation in Negombo. Take time to relax and acclimate to the local environment.​

Day 2: Negombo to Sigiriya via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

After breakfast, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe and interact with elephants in a natural setting. Continue your journey to Sigiriya, known for the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb the rock to explore its ancient frescoes and panoramic views. In the afternoon, visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to explore well-preserved archaeological remains.

Day 3: Polonnaruwa to Kandy

Embark on a city tour of Polonnaruwa, visiting significant sites such as the Royal Palace, Gal Vihara, and the Parakrama Samudra reservoir. In the afternoon, drive to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a significant Buddhist site, and enjoy a cultural dance performance.​

Day 4: Kandy City Tour

Explore Kandy's highlights, including the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, known for its diverse plant species. Stroll around Kandy Lake and visit the Kandy View Point for panoramic city views. Explore local markets and shops for souvenirs.​

Day 5: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Travel to Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England" due to its colonial architecture and cool climate. En route, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about Sri Lanka's famed tea production. In Nuwara Eliya, explore Gregory Lake and the town's charming streets.​

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya to the Southern Coast

Drive to the southern coast, choosing a beach destination such as Mirissa or Unawatuna. Along the way, consider stopping at the Mulkirigala Rock Monastery, an ancient Buddhist temple complex. Upon arrival, relax on the beach and enjoy the coastal ambience.​

Day 7: Southern Coast Exploration

Spend the day exploring the southern coast's attractions. Visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to admire its colonial architecture and scenic ocean views. Enjoy a boat ride on the Madhu River, observing the rich biodiversity of the area. Visit a turtle hatchery to learn about conservation efforts and witness hatchlings being released into the sea.​

Day 8: Southern Coast to Colombo

Depart for Colombo, Sri Lanka's bustling commercial capital. In the evening, explore Colombo's vibrant nightlife, with options ranging from lively bars to cultural performances.​

Day 9: Colombo and Departure

Take a city tour of Colombo, visiting sites such as the Gangaramaya Temple, the National Museum, and the bustling Pettah Market. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your departure.
