Ridiyagama Safari Park

Established in 2016, Ridiyagama Safari Park is Sri Lanka’s first drive-through wildlife sanctuary, encompassing 500 acres. Divided into six zones, the park offers visitors the opportunity to observe a diverse range of animals, including zebras, giraffes, Bactrian camels, Indian blue bulls, African cape buffaloes, Bengal tigers, African lions, and Sri Lankan elephants, roaming freely in expansive enclosures.

Yala National Park

Situated in the Southeastern region of Sri Lanka, Yala National Park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands. It is particularly famous for hosting one of the highest densities of leopards globally. The park is also home to 44 mammal species, including elephants and sloth bears, and 215 bird species, seven of which are endemic to Sri Lanka. ​

Walawe River Safari

The Walawe River Safari offers a tranquil boat journey along the Walawe River, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the region’s natural beauty. The approximately 1.5-hour trip showcases a stunning diversity of species inhabiting the mangroves, making it particularly rewarding for bird watchers. ​

Birds Research Center & Resort

Located near Hambantota, the Birds Research Center & Resort serves as both a sanctuary for avian studies and a retreat for nature enthusiasts. The centre focuses on the conservation and study of various bird species, offering visitors the chance to observe and learn about Sri Lanka’s rich birdlife in a serene setting. ​

Dry Zone Botanic Gardens

The Dry Zone Botanic Gardens, situated in the southern region of Sri Lanka, are dedicated to the conservation and study of flora adapted to arid conditions. These gardens provide insight into the unique plant species that thrive in the country’s dry zones, promoting environmental education and biodiversity preservation. ​

Mahapelessa Hot Springs
